The best situation with the operation of mobile communication base stations is in the Vinnytsia, Zakarpattia, Lviv, Rivne, Sumy, Cherkasy and Chernivtsi regions, while there are still difficulties in the Kherson, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad, Poltava and Mykolaiv regions.
“Communication in Ukraine is gradually being restored. The best situation with the operation of base stations in Vinnytsia, Zakarpattia, Lviv, Rivne, Sumy, Cherkasy and Chernivtsi regions. We still have difficulties in Kherson, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad, Poltava and Mykolaiv regions. Energy workers work non-stop , in order to restore electricity as soon as possible. Along with it, communication is gradually returning,” – wrote Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov in his Telegram channel.
Fedorov also added that telecom companies continue to work on generators, dozens of which the government handed over earlier.
Problems with mobile communication
On November 23, Russia launched another massive attack on Ukraine. Rockets hit critical infrastructure facilities in several regions. In total, about 70 cruise missiles were launched, 51 of them were destroyed. Emergency power outages occurred in many regions, many regions of Ukraine were left without water supply.
According to Volodymyr Kondrashov, representative of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, as of the morning of November 24, about 44% of base stations of mobile operators were working in Ukraine.
