The energy system of Ukraine has already overcome the most difficult stage - today in Kyiv consumers will be switched on in turn for three hours

Ukraine is gradually moving away from the blackout caused by the recent Russian shelling of critical energy infrastructure — energy companies are healing more and more household consumers in various regions every hour. As the chairman of the board of “Ukrenergo” Volodymyr Kudrytskyi reported, the energy system of Ukraine has already overcome the most difficult stage after the attack – electricity supply has been restored in all regions and connection to the European Union’s energy system has been restored.

All three nuclear power plants, which are located in the unoccupied territory, are already in operation. According to the plan, within one or two days they should reach their normal planned capacity and consumers will be transferred to scheduled power outage schedules instead of emergency ones. In addition, part of the “green” generation was connected to the work.

The commercial import of electricity from the EU in the amount of 500-600 MW is technically possible, however, as Kudrytskyi noted, the price of electricity in Europe is higher than in Ukraine, so on general commercial grounds, it is unlikely that anyone will want to do it. To ensure such imports, a special non-commercial mechanism should be developed, according to Kudrytskyi, it is already being developed.

At the same time, the shortage of electricity in the system persists — as of 11:00 a.m., electricity producers provided more than 70% of the country’s consumption needs. In connection with this, all regions of Ukraine have introduced both scheduled and emergency consumption restriction schedules.

Electricity is currently the most difficult in the capital and 15 regions: Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Frankiv, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi.

Kyiv Mayor Klitschko said that a third of the capital’s buildings already have heat, while half of the consumers still remain without electricity. During the day, on November 25, the energy companies plan to connect electricity to all consumers in turn

Ukrenergo asks Ukrainians to use it consciously and to remember that if there is no light in the house, it means that repairmen are working at that moment. If there is no electricity or heat in the city for more than 12 hours, the VP calls for help from the Points of Invincibility. You can warm up and recharge your gadgets at all police stations and at the facilities of the State Emergency Service.

The Ministry of Defense believes that Russia will need at least a week to prepare a new massive missile attack on Ukraine.
