He is sure that the occupying country will not be able to break the resistance of Ukrainians by striking the energy infrastructure.

The strikes of the Russian occupiers on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine have no effect on the front line.
Defense Express analyst Serhiy Zgurets emphasized on the air of the Espresso TV channel that the situation at the front is not related to civilian life.
“Strikes on civilian and energy infrastructure and the front line are two different processes. Because there are activities on the front line that are not related to civilian life. The dynamics on the front line indicate that there is no connection with the blackout,” – he explained.
The expert emphasized that the occupying country will not be able to break the resistance of Ukrainians by striking the energy infrastructure.
“With strikes on civil and energy infrastructure, the enemy expects to affect the stability of Ukrainian society. In Russia, they believe that the Ukrainians will begin to put pressure on the authorities with the demand for negotiations with the Russian Federation. These are illogical expectations of the enemy. On the other hand, the Russians hope that damage to the energy system “Ukraine will affect our military. However, in reality, it does not affect the front line,” concluded Zgurets.
Attacks on infrastructure
According to experts’ estimates, 40% of the country’s energy infrastructure was destroyed or damaged after the Russians carried out massive missile attacks on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure on October 10, 22, and 31.
On November 15, 2022, Russia carried out the most massive shelling of Ukraine’s energy system since the beginning of the war.
However, already on November 23, the Russian Federation again massively attacked the critical infrastructure of Ukraine. After the shelling, emergency power cuts were implemented across the country.
The permanent representative of the US to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, said that the targeted missile attacks of the Russian Federation against Ukrainian critical infrastructure facilities are a shameful escalation of the war.
