Power outages in the capital are getting shorter.
On Thursday, December 1, emergency blackouts will continue to be applied in Kyiv. However, the time of outages is becoming shorter.
As the press service of DPEK reported, the shutdown schedules will not apply.
“Stabilization schedules are not yet in effect. We are trying to return to scheduled outages as soon as possible, but we are acting in accordance with the situation in the power system,” the message says.
At the same time, the general director of the supplier company Yasno, Serhiy Kovalenko, noted that the time of power outages is decreasing.
“On Monday, Kyiv residents were disconnected for an average of 9 hours, and yesterday – for less than 7 hours a day. Today, the restrictions themselves were smaller – 545 MW. During the day, 953,000 customers were disconnected, 5,000 less than yesterday. But so far we are still in the mode of emergency shutdowns. Stabilization schedules are not in effect, but we are focusing on them and getting closer to them,” he explained.
Power outage in Ukraine
Due to Russian missile strikes on critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine, electricity blackouts were introduced.
As of November 30, the deficit of electricity in Ukraine is 27%, which is 3% less than the day before. At the same time, exceeding the consumption limits leads to the need to apply emergency shutdowns to avoid network overload and ensure balance in the energy system.
Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko said that the situation in the energy system is improving every day. Currently, specialists are engaged in increasing the amount of generation.
At the same time, the Ministry of Energy instructed the State Inspectorate of Energy Supervision of Ukraine during the martial law to carry out inspections of Oblenergo regarding the correctness of the application of power outage schedules.
