At the same time, it is emphasized that Ukraine has its own reserves, many energy equipment is being repaired by its own forces.
It will be impossible to fully restore Ukraine’s energy system during the winter.
This was stated by the head of the Council’s committee on energy and housing and communal services, Andriy Gerus, the press service of the Apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada reports.
“The equipment that is in the warehouses of our European partners is already on its way to Ukraine, it is quickly transferred. However, during this winter it is impossible to restore all the damaged objects of the energy infrastructure. The Ukrainian energy system is under constant fire from the Russian occupiers, Europe does not have this amount of equipment , which Ukraine requires, it will take at least six months to produce it,” he emphasized.
But Ukraine has its reserves, many energy equipment is repaired by its own forces. To date, more than 75% of electricity consumption needs in the country are covered, only 25% of consumers do not have electricity, Gerus said.
Russian attack on the energy system of Ukraine
On November 23, Russia once again carried out a massive missile attack on Ukraine. Residential buildings, CHP, TPP and substations in Kyiv, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Lviv and Zaporizhzhia regions were hit.
Many regions were left without electricity, water, heating and communications. The worst situation occurred in Kyiv and Odesa region.
Due to damage to energy facilities, there was a shortage of electricity, in connection with this, emergency power outages were introduced in the regions.
According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, the task of minimizing the uneven disconnection of consumers from electricity is now before the NEC “Ukrenergo”.
As Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko reported, the situation in the energy system is improving every day. Currently, specialists are engaged in increasing the amount of generation.
