Valve will give away one top console Steam Deck for free every minute of The Game Awards broadcast — Ukraine does not participate in the promotion

To attract additional public attention to The Game Awards event, Valve announced a Steam Deck console raffle.

One console Steam Deck will be given away every minute during The Game Awards. Taking into account the fact that the event will last at least 2.5 hours (and last year its duration reached 3 hours), you can aim for the distribution of at least 150 Steam Deck consoles (and in the best case, up to 180 devices). Top configurations of the console, including 512 GB of built-in storage and anti-glare screens, will participate in the draw.

To enter the Steam Deck Free Giveaway, log into Steam at the following address on December 8th and watch the Steam.TV broadcast on The Game Awards page.

Unfortunately, this offer is available only to residents of three dozen countries (USA, Canada, Great Britain and the European Union), which do not include Ukraine.

“Unfortunately, it is not possible to register for the giveaway from your region, but you can get a digital sticker with Stimchik,” says the authorization page.

However, given the fact that a large number of Ukrainians left for European countries, someone may be lucky enough to take part in the giveaway and get a Steam Deck for free.

There are still some restrictions for the participants of the draw. To be eligible for the prize, you must have a Steam account in good standing (no active bans or locks) and have made a Steam purchase within one year of November 14, 2021 to November 14, 2022 (GMT).
