Another 50 Ukrainian soldiers were released today.
Since February 24, more than 1.3 thousand Ukrainians have already been returned from Russian captivity.
“Today we managed to bring home another 50 Ukrainians from Russian captivity. Four officers, 46 sergeants and privates. Army, terror defense, National Guard, Navy and border guards. I thank our entire team working for the release of Ukrainians: Budanov, Yermak, Usov Lubynets. Simply well done. Thanks to everyone who helps!” – said Volodymyr Zelenskyi in an evening video message.
Zelensky reported that more than 1,300 Ukrainians have already been returned from Russian captivity.
“We will return everyone else too! All of Ukraine will be free. All Ukrainians will be at home,” he added.
Exchange of prisoners on December 1: details
On December 1, another 50 defenders of Ukraine were released from captivity.
The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, reported that the defenders of Mariupol and “Azovstal”, prisoners who were in Olenivka, wounded, including in battles in the Donetsk, Luhansk, and Zaporizhia areas, have been returned.
The youngest of the released defenders turned 19, and the oldest – 59.
