Fans of The Mandalorian can set a reminder for March 1, 2023. This day will be the premiere of the third season on Disney+. This was announced by the official Twitter of the series. According to rumors, Disney originally planned for a February release, but the new date doesn’t look bad either. The creation of the third season began in 2021, filming ended at the end of March 2022. The process was postponed for several months, giving priority to the filming of the series “Obi-Wan Kenobi”.

The first teaser trailer for the season was released at the D23 Expo in September. It features the reunion of Grog’s baby Dean “The Mandalorian” Jarin. The trailer also gives a glimpse of how Mando deals with the consequences of removing his helmet and revealing his face, which is forbidden by his sect’s rules.

The third season of “The Mandalorian” will be released more than two years after the end of the second. Between seasons, The Mandalorian and Grog took part in The Book of Boba Fett last year. According to rumors, the action of the new season will unfold after the events of “The Book”.
The series stars Pedro Pascal in the title role, Carl Weathers, Kathy Sackhoff, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, and Christopher Lloyd and Tim Meadows. Back in 2020, Giancarlo Esposito reported that his role would be significantly expanded in the third season of The Mandalorian.
Grogu also received a hand-drawn version of Hayao Miyazaki for the Lucasfilm and Ghibli animated short Discover Zen – Grogu and Dust Bunnies in November. Dust Bunnies are small creatures made of coal dust that appeared in many Ghibli cartoons.
