Russia suffers heavy losses on the Eastern Front.
Serhii Chereviy, the spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that if at the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in Donbas, the occupiers turned over more professional soldiers, now – anyone who can hold a weapon in their hands.
As he told Channel 24, the enemy is suffering huge losses. Because of this, the occupiers began to transfer units of various troops, including infantry, tank and mechanized units, to the east.
According to him, some paratroopers also remained in the occupied areas of Luhansk region. Marines are in positions near Vugledar in the Donetsk region, while in the Bakhmut region there are convicts recruited into the “Wagner” PMC. The representative of the Eastern Group of Forces noted that the task of the occupiers is to exhaust the defense forces of Ukraine with their attacks.
“They are forced to replenish all these military units with mobilized ones against the background of heavy losses. During this day, 510 occupiers were destroyed, the absolute majority of them – on the Eastern Front,” Cherevy emphasized.
The situation in Donbas: what is known
On Saturday, December 3, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, told about the situation at the front. According to him, “the hottest, most painful” is now in Donetsk region.
In addition, Ukrainian border guards “passed” a Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber in Donetsk region. The “bird” was landed on the outskirts of Bakhmut, which became one of the hottest spots on the front.
Earlier, military expert Roman Svitan emphasized that the Donetsk front is stabilized. The grinding of Russian troops continues along the entire front line, especially near Bakhmut and Avdiivka. According to him, fresh forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces approached the Pavlivka district and “extinguished all the forces of the occupiers.”
