Since October, Russia has been massively attacking energy infrastructure facilities.
Emergency crews of energy workers have started liquidation of the consequences of missile strikes on energy infrastructure objects, the work will continue throughout the night in order to restore electricity supply to consumers as soon as possible.
This was announced by the executive director of DPEK Dmytro Sakharuk on the air of the national telethon.
“Now the situation is difficult, although it is under control. This is already the eighth wave of shelling. We have a problem with the fact that there were indeed hits in the Kyiv, Odesa and Vinnytsia regions. We are very lucky that the air defense system worked so well – 60 out of 70 missiles are a good result, it would have been much worse if our Armed Forces had not worked such miracles,” Sakharuk said.
As a result of shelling, emergency shutdowns are being carried out in almost all regions of Ukraine to stabilize the system.
“Energy engineers have begun to repair the damage, work will continue at night. We will try to return to the stabilization shutdown schedules as soon as possible to stop emergency shutdowns,” said the executive director of DPEK.
We will remind you that since October, Russia has been massively attacking energy infrastructure facilities. Power plants and node substations were destroyed. On December 5, Russia carried out another massive terrorist attack on energy facilities in Ukraine. According to official information, more than 70 missiles were launched in Ukraine, of which more than 60 were shot down. Energy infrastructure facilities in three regions were affected.
