If you work with a lot of tabs, with a browser history or save a lot of bookmarks, it will be easier to understand this diversity with the help of the new @ shortcut that is entered in the address bar. The feature is available in the latest Chrome 108 update for PC. It is sometimes convenient to find something among dozens of open windows without performing another search on the Internet.
When you enter “dog” in the address bar, a pop-up menu opens for quick navigation to search by tabs, bookmarks, and history. From there, you can quickly open these pages. A variant of the command is a “dog” with a signature, such as @bookmarks or @history
Google is showing a penchant for implementing the @ symbol in all of its services. In October, new Twitter-style @ handles appeared for YouTube users. The company has also started pushing new features for developers in its Workspace/Google Docs products that can call external files and third-party applications using tags starting with @.

The new Chrome feature first appeared in September in the beta version of ChromeOS 106, and now it is full and available to everyone. Google’s blog post also points to an existing Chrome feature that allows you to create custom site search shortcuts:
“Do you have favorite sites that you search frequently, such as YouTube or Google Drive? You can also enable custom site search shortcuts to search directly from Chrome’s address bar. Go to “Manage search engines and site search” (chrome://settings/searchEngines) in Chrome settings and activate them. You can quickly get there using Chrome Actions by typing customize site search.”
