Packaging and assembly

Aeno’s VS2 vacuum cleaner and SV1 sous vide come in relatively small cardboard eco-boxes. The Aeno SV1 sous-vide box contains a storage bag and detailed instructions. The Aeno VS2 vacuum cleaner box comes with not only that, but also a set of corrugated vacuum bags.

The Aeno SV1 looks like a blender handle with a clip on the side to attach to a pan or any other utensil. The dimensions of the device are 57x351x90 mm, weight – 1 kg.

The device looks neat and stylish. It is convenient to hold in your hands, store in a box or a bag with other kitchen accessories. The su-vide is made of matte and glossy metal parts.

The sous-vide handle is covered with heat-insulating material. This protects the user from possible burns and facilitates the cooking process.

On top and on the side there is a non-removable meter cable for connecting to the network.

The device control panel was placed on the upper round end. There are also a pair of displays and five touch buttons.

Below it, along the circumference of the handle, an LED ring is installed. The color of the backlight – blue, red, green – means different types of device operation. Experience of use

I am not very good at cooking and I like to cook, so I experienced the claimed simplicity of vacuuming and cooking in practice. I will say right away that my wife found a simple recipe and consulted me before starting, but in fact her instructions were not needed and everything turned out to be as simple as possible.

First, she sealed the peeled potatoes with the help of a vacuum cleaner. This is how it is sold in stores so that it can be taken out and cooked. But the store version postponed the next preparation.

The whole process took a few minutes. We clean and wash the potatoes, put them in a bag from the set, open the Aeno VS2 cover, insert the bag into the grooves, carefully close the cover until it clicks and press the button on the panel. After ten seconds, the air is pumped out and the bag is sealed. You can put it in the freezer. As you can see, in practice everything is very quick and simple.

Next, we complicate the task a little and prepare food using the Aeno SV1 sous vide. I took a simple recipe for chicken fillet. It is prepared for an hour and a half. There is an electronic book of recipes with many dishes on the Internet and on the official website of the manufacturer. There are options for half an hour, an hour, two, five, and so on. I want to emphasize that you do not need to do anything during this time – it is enough to set the timer for this time.

So, I took a piece of chicken fillet, sprinkled and rubbed it with some seasonings and herbs according to the recipe, put the chicken in a vacuum bag, pumped out the air with a vacuum cleaner, took out a pot, collected water, put a colander in it, put the packaged chicken in the water, set the desired temperature and time at the touch of a button. In two hours, the device turned itself off, and the chicken was ready.

In addition to the cooking time itself, all these processes took about 10-15 minutes, including washing the pan and appliances.

The chicken turned out unusual in structure, similar to boiled meat, but fluffier. The main thing is that it was tasty, and the meat itself was very juicy. What does it look like? Something in between boiled chicken with spices and stewed meat. Ate quickly and with appetite. Of course, I ate not just chicken, but with a side dish, but everything turned out surprisingly tasty, and the most important thing was that it was prepared by someone who only knows how to fry potatoes and scrambled eggs.
