The Game Awards 2022 award ceremony took place on the night of December 9. Traditionally, developers and publishers prepared a large number of trailers and announcements of new projects for this event. Let’s briefly dwell on the most interesting of them.
Final Fantasy XVI
The new trailer for Final Fantasy XVI is full of battles and brutality. You can watch it on YouTube. The game will be released on PS5 on June 22, 2023.
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
FromSoftware has announced Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, coming to PlayStation, Xbox and PC next year. The exact date has not yet been announced.

Nintendo and Illumination released a short trailer for the animated film Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Horizon: Forbidden West
Sony announced the release of the first addition to the game Horizon: Forbidden West called Burning Shores, which will allow you to explore new places. The expansion is due out on PS5 next April.
Cyberpunk 2077
The developers have released a trailer for the upcoming first expansion of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. It will be released next year.
Diablo IV
The new Diablo IV trailer is age-restricted and will have to be watched on YouTube. The game itself received an official release date of June 6, 2023.
Tekken 8
The developers showed a gameplay trailer for the fighting game Tekken 8. In the new part, players can expect the continuation of the global plot. The game will be released in 2023 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Baldur’s Gate 3
Larian Studios showed a trailer for the game Baldur’s Gate 3 and said that the project will be released in August 2023.
Blue Protocol
Amazon has joined forces with Bandai Namco to create the game Blue Protocol. It’s an MMO with anime-style visuals and action-RPG-style gameplay that’s a bit reminiscent of the popular Genshin Impact. The game will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in the second half of 2023, with a closed beta on PC expected early next year.
Dune: Awakening
Funcom has released a trailer for Dune: Awakening, a survival MMO set in the iconic sci-fi universe.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
EA has released a new trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor that gives a glimpse into the gameplay. Also, the game now has an official release date of March 17, 2023.
Death Stranding 2
Death Stranding director Hideo Kojima has revealed a trailer for his new game, which he’s been hinting at for some time. It’s the sequel to Death Stranding, it’s now known as Death Stranding 2, but that’s just the working title.
Hades II
Developer Supergiant Games has unveiled Hades II, although there are no details about the new project yet. But, like its predecessor, the game will first be released in early access.
Suicide Squad
The new Suicide Squad trailer shows the late Kevin Conner playing Batman for the last time.
Street Fighter 6
The new Street Fighter 6 trailer gives us a look at a number of different characters in action. The game will be released on June 2, 2023.
Judas
Ghost Story Games, led by former BioShock creative director Ken Levine, has shown off its first Judas game. This single-player shooter is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Among Us
The game Among Us will receive an update on December 9 with a hide and seek mode called hide n seek.
Dead Cells
The very Castlevania-like game Dead Cells got a crossover with… Castlevania. The upcoming expansion, titled Return to Castlevania, is due out early next year.
Returnal and The Last of Us
Returnal and The Last of Us games will be released on PC. In the case of Returnal, the release date is listed as “soon”, and for The Last Of Us Part I, a specific date is given – March 3, 2023.
Hellboy: Web of Wyrd
There is a new Hellboy: Web of Wyrd game in development. The game does not yet have a release date, although it is known that it will appear on several platforms: Steam, Switch, PlayStation and Xbox.
Earthblade
The team behind the classic indie game Celeste is working on a new project called Earthblade. The game should be released in 2024.
