In regions where facilities have been damaged, restoration is ongoing
“Ukrenergo” stated that Russia launched more than 1,000 heavy missiles and drones at Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities since October 10.
“We have survived 8 large waves and more than 10 smaller shocks, primarily thanks to our heroic Armed Forces. In some regions, where facilities have been damaged, restoration is ongoing,” – said the head of “Ukrenergo” Volodymyr Kudrytskyi.
He noted that after the last missile attack by the aggressor, Ukraine’s energy system entered a stable mode of operation faster, the system was not severely unbalanced.
Attack of the Russian Federation on the energy system on December 5
On December 5, the Russian occupiers launched a massive missile attack on critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. Air defense forces shot down 61 of more than 70 enemy missiles. This is already the eighth large-scale attack on energy facilities in Ukraine since October.
The most difficult situation with energy supply is observed in Kyiv, Vinnytsia and Odesa regions.
“Ukrenergo” stated that given the current situation in the energy system, the capacity deficit will remain throughout the winter. At the same time, planned power outages will be possible in a few days.
