The President hopes that there will be important decisions for the Ukrainian state.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced important international events next week.
“Today, I presented the Ukrainian vision of steps towards peace at the International Forum in Istanbul. There I focused on food security – on Ukrainian initiatives that add global weight to our state. These are the export grain initiative and the Grain from Ukraine initiative – “Grain from Ukraine”, – he said the head of state in his evening video address at the end of the 289th day of the war.
He emphasized that with these examples, which are transparent and useful for the Ukrainian people, for the Black Sea region and for the entire global community, Ukraine demonstrates that it is quite possible to restore security.
“The main thing is determination. Mr. President Erdogan, who was at the forum, I am sure, heard our position. We are already preparing for a very important next week – there will be important international events. I held relevant meetings today. I believe: there will also be important decisions for our state.” – noted Zelensky.
Export of Ukrainian grain
On November 26, the implementation of the new international Grain from Ukraine initiative began, within the framework of which Ukrainian food will go to countries in Africa and Asia.
Ukraine plans to send at least 60 ships from its ports to the countries most affected by the food crisis and in need of urgent aid. It is assumed that each ship with grain will provide food for an average of 90,000 people.
Soon, the first ship with Ukrainian grain, which was sent as part of the “Grain From Ukraine” initiative, arrived in Ethiopia.
