Xiaomi has prepared a new flagship series of Xiaomi 13 smartphones for release. It includes two models Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro, which are equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

Xiaomi 13 Pro

The novelty contains a 6.73-inch LTPO display with a resolution of 3200×1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG and 1920Hz DC dimming is declared, and thanks to the presence of a sensor of the color temperature of the surrounding space, the screen can automatically change its own color temperature. The maximum brightness for the entire surface is 1200 nits, and the peak brightness when viewing HDR content reaches 1900 nits.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor is complemented by 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and built-in UFS 4.0 storage with a capacity of 128 to 512 GB.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphone received a triple camera. It includes a main 50-megapixel 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor, complemented by a Leica lens with an aperture of f/1.9 and Hyper OIS image stabilization. The telephoto module also includes a 50-megapixel sensor. It provides 3x optical zoom and the ability to focus at a distance of 10 cm. In this case, a Leica Floating Lens with an aperture of f/2.0 is used. The ultra-wide-angle module is equipped with a 50-megapixel sensor, a lens with a viewing angle of 14 mm and autofocus. This module is also used for macro photography.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro battery has a capacity of 4820 mAh. It supports 120W fast wired charging, 50W fast wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. Stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos and Dolby Head Tracking, an IR emitter, and an IP68 dust and water-resistant housing are available to users. The back panel is made of ceramic.

The OLED display of the Xiaomi 13 smartphone has a diagonal of 6.36 inches, a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels, supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HLG. There is a sensor of the color temperature of the surrounding space. Standard and peak brightness reach 1200 and 1900 nits, respectively. The amount of RAM can be 8 or 12 GB, and the capacity of the built-in storage – 128, 256 or 512 GB.

The triple main camera is branded Leica and includes:

  • main 1/1.56-inch 50-megapixel module with f/1.8 lens and Hyper OIS image stabilization system;
  • 10-megapixel telephoto module with 3x magnification, f/2.0 lens and optical image stabilization system;
  • 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module with f/2.2 lens.

The battery capacity of the Xiaomi 13 is 4500 mAh. In this case, 67W fast charging, 50W fast wireless charging and 10W reversible wireless charging are available. As in the older model, it offers stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos and Dolby Head Tracking, an IR emitter and protection against dust and water according to the IP68 standard. The back panel is glass.

Prices

The new Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro smartphones are already available for pre-order in China, and will start shipping on December 14. The price of Xiaomi 13 Pro is in the range from $720 (8/128 GB of memory) to $900 (12/512 GB). The Xiaomi 13 version is priced at $575 (8/128GB), $615 (8/256GB), $660 (12/256GB) and $720 (12/512GB). Delivery times for global markets will be announced at a later date.
