He accompanied his Instagram post with a meme featuring Robert Downey Jr.
Advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovych is an amateur of self-irony. Therefore, he wrote on his Instagram that “2022 will end in two or three weeks.”
So he reminded Ukrainians of his old phrase-meme that “in two or three weeks” the active phase of hostilities with the Russian Federation will end.
“And about forecasts. There are two or three weeks left until the end of the year. And don’t say I didn’t warn you,” wrote the VP adviser and accompanied this post with a meme with actor Robert Downey Jr.
The network mostly reacted with humor to such a joke by Arestovych and began to ironically ask where he got such information from.
How Arestovych’s phrase about “two or three weeks” became a meme
On April 2, 2022, Oleksiy Arestovich told journalists during a visit to Irpin, liberated from Russian occupiers, that the outcome of this war would be decided in 2-3 weeks. As you know, this did not happen, which is why the adviser to the President’s Office is regularly trolled with this phrase.
Arestovych later explained what he meant by such terms. “Two or three weeks, I said once actually. It was in the middle of March, and the only thing that concerned was when the active phase of the operation near Kyiv would end. I said, ‘2-3 weeks.’ And it ended in 2-3 weeks,” he emphasized.
