The DPSU urged men who want to leave Ukraine illegally not to risk their lives and health.
A man’s body was found on the banks of the Tisza River on the Ukrainian-Romanian border in Transcarpathia.
As noted in the State Border Strip of Ukraine (DPSU), this is already the 12th such case since the beginning of the war on this river section, where border guards record the most attempts to illegally cross the border.
“Romanian border guards reported the discovery of a body on the banks of the Tisza from their side of the border. The man was found without signs of life yesterday (December 14 – ed.) in the morning. He did not have any documents with him. Measures are being taken to establish the identity of the drowned man,” the report says.
The DPSU urged people who want to illegally leave the territory of Ukraine not to risk their lives and health.
The border guards proved that the depth of the Tisza River in the area of responsibility of the Mukachevo border detachment reaches 2.5 m in places, and the width is 80 m. At the same time, the border guards noted that it is dangerous to immerse yourself in the cold water of full-water reservoirs.
Ban on traveling abroad for men
After the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia on February 24, martial law was imposed in Ukraine. It provides, in particular, a ban on men of conscription age from 18 to 60 years old to travel abroad, with the exception of certain categories.
On November 16, the Verkhovna Rada extended martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine for another 90 days – until February 19, 2023.
Since February 24, the DPSU has detained almost 4,000 men while trying to illegally cross the state border.
