As far as I know, this is the first Nissan Ariya electric car in our country. Moreover, it was not brought privately by some person, not by a third-party seller, but by an official Nissan dealer. As they say: “to study the interest of potential customers.” And the interest is really there – you can’t push through! But I still managed: I took a few photos and found out the first information. So, the Nissan Ariya electric car has arrived in Ukraine! And what will he surprise?
First, it’s bigger than you expect
The formal 4.6 meters of length (even a little less) of this “blown” body actually turns into a quite massive crossover. Smooth sidewalls, devoid of any cut-lines, and large 19-inch wheels work for this feeling.
The latter are covered with aerodynamic shields. In the lower part “around the perimeter” passes a black glossy belt. The dark insert “in the nose” received a barely noticeable decor, the headlights are decorated with the name of the model: the inscription Ariya is visible in the corners. And the rear door has a powerful spoiler and a translucent lantern. The initial simplicity of the appearance of the Nissan Ariya is deceptive – in fact, there are many interesting details.
You can find such a photo where the Nissan Ariya electric car poses next to the car Nissan Qashqai. In fact, the Nissan Ariya model is much larger – 4.6 meters long, 2.78 m wheelbase – it is almost a Nissan X-Trail crossover. Just in case Nissan Ariya rather, it will be correct to talk not about the “crossover” type body, but about the “coupe-crossover” body: the roof dome is emphasized by a silver stripe.

Second: he has a nice salon
The first impression of the salon – inside it is “almost” completely erased! It all starts with large doors and openings that provide excellent access to the cabin. I would especially like to note the rear doors, which (according to the latest Nissan fashion) open almost perpendicular to the body. Next, the passengers of the second row are waiting for a smooth flat floor, a sofa with the possibility of adjusting the angle of the backrest, ventilation deflectors and an armrest, even heated seats.
An ideal family man? The trunk also fits this description. First, it is large and with convenient access through the huge fifth door. Secondly, it has excellent transformation capabilities – here (already following the old Nissan fashion) separate shelves are offered that can be installed in different positions.
But the most important thing is not the back, but the front! Because in front we are greeted by a horizontal panel with a “dark wood” decor, a pair of 12.3-inch displays, a custom 2-spoke steering wheel. But there are so many details that you can look at and study for hours!
For example, a thin strip of copper color runs along the entire front panel: along the edges, it acts as a ventilation deflector; in the center – the “emergency” and music control buttons are hidden in it. Sensor buttons for “climate” control are mounted directly in the panel, another similar unit is located on the central box. Moreover, the latter can be moved with the help of an electric drive, and the buttons themselves give a noticeable click when pressed.
A pair of 12.3-inch displays – with new graphics and a high-quality picture. Steering wheel – with a flattened rim shape and real buttons. Front panel – with copper decor and built-in “climate” buttons. And the central armrest-box is worthy of a separate award: it moves with the help of an electric drive, in this case there is a “joystick” for choosing the direction of movement and a couple of buttons, there is a place for a small niche. And in the bowels of the front panel there was a place for a secret box that moves out with an electric drive. In front and behind there is a flat floor under people’s feet. The large trunk offers shelves for organizing space.
Good space in the cabin is a consequence of the layout of the electric car. Traditionally, the battery is installed in the bottom, made as flat as possible. And electric motors (or electric motors) are located in the front and rear parts of the body. But it seems that in this case, everyone tried to stretch as much as possible in the name of expanding the salon as much as possible.
The electric motor has been shifted as far forward as possible, the battery has been lowered as far as possible – and the interior has become more spacious. However, I don’t know how everything will be arranged in the Nissan Ariya electric car with all-wheel drive. Because the presented sample was equipped with only one electric motor (175 kW or 238 hp) and front-wheel drive. But it was equipped with the largest battery: the capacity that is actually used is 87 kWh, which should be enough for 533 km of mileage.
An electric car for dating is a “long-distance” version Nissan Ariya: large battery, front-wheel drive, up to 533 km.WLTP). Let me remind you: also for an electric car Nissan Ariya a smaller battery (63 kWh) and all-wheel drive versions with two electric motors are claimed. The charging power depends on the version, battery, ordered options: up to 7.4 or up to 22 kW – when using alternating current sources; up to 130 kW – when using direct current sources. There is one charging hatch, it is located in the front wing, under it is a combined port CCS Combo 2.
Third: and a few words about the price
The easiest and most difficult at the same time. So, this is an artificial specimen, with a large battery, in a good configuration: row control, adaptive cruise, 2-zone “climate”, all-round view, 19-inch wheels, Bose audio, adaptive LED headlights, panoramic glass roof, projection windshield .
Are you ready? The price of the presented electric car is almost 2.59 million hryvnias or about $65 thousand. Attention: this is not the final price (it changes depending on exchange rate fluctuations); these are not the official prices of the Ukrainian representative office Nissan for the model Nissan Ariya. Plus, take into account the high level of equipment (adaptive headlights, all-round view, 19 wheels, “panorama”, heaters) and add different versions of the electric car, which can have very different prices.
