In the Dnipropetrovsk region, more than 3,000 miners were trapped underground due to a rocket attack.
“As a result of the massive attack and the lack of electricity in the Kryvorizka, Pavlograd and Synelnyk districts, more than 3,000 miners were trapped underground. Now they have all been brought to the surface,” the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional council, Mykola Lukashuk, said on the Telegram channel.
Lukashuk notes that the situation with electricity supply in the region remains difficult, as the occupiers have caused significant damage to the power system.
“We have another blackout. Please be prepared for extended outages,” he said.

On December 16, the Russian occupiers fired 70 cruise missiles and 4 guided air missiles at Ukraine, 60 of which were shot down by air defense forces. As a result of the strikes, several energy infrastructure facilities and residential buildings were damaged in the Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions.
