Shoigu invented a new cynical justification for the strikes on Ukraine

The energy facilities supposedly serve the Ukrainian defense industry, so Russia is destroying them.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced that they “achieved the goal” with a massive strike on Ukraine on December 16. In its report, Shoigu’s office does not even hide that the Russian invaders are targeting critical infrastructure.

However, the Russians claim that the energy facilities were attacked because they supposedly support the defense-industrial complex.

“As a result of the strike, the transfer of foreign-made weapons and ammunition was disrupted, the deployment of reserves to the war zones was blocked, and defense enterprises of Ukraine involved in the production and repair of weapons, military equipment and ammunition were halted,” said the press secretary of the Russian Ministry, Ihor Konashenkov.

Massive attack on Ukraine on December 16

On the morning of December 16, Russia once again attacked Ukraine, firing 76 missiles, 60 of which managed to shoot down the air defense forces.

In connection with the shelling, serious problems with water and heat supply have arisen in a number of regions. Terrorists completely cut off power in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk region.

Public electric transport has stopped in Kyiv due to a shortage of electricity.

As a result of yesterday’s attack, about 9 generation facilities were damaged. Substations were also damaged.
