Since May, serviceman Oleksandr with the call sign “Doc” has been defending Ukraine in the southern direction. The Russians occupied the man’s native village since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. He and his family crossed two dozen Russian checkpoints to leave the Kherson region. And the very next day he was at the Military Commissariat!
As the Ministry of Defense said, “Doc” became a real talisman for his brothers. The fact is that since his appointment to the position in the unit, there have been no losses, even in the hottest moments, the “300s” were dispensed with.
“I’m probably lucky, because how else to explain the fact that we were shelled so many times, enemy rockets destroyed the equipment, but miraculously everyone remained whole and unharmed. As soon as it gets hotter somewhere, I’m sent to another unit. I arrive and everything works out too. Either fortune follows me, or a guardian angel. I am a military doctor and must save lives, and on my medical front I have to treat colds and other chronic diseases, which especially make themselves felt with the first frosts.” – complains the doctor in a comment to ArmiyaInform journalists.
However, one of the episodes of combat “work” became particularly memorable for the head of the medical service.
“I was standing on duty in the unit, and then I heard the characteristic sound of mopeds. They didn’t waste time, a large-caliber machine gun was installed on the pickup truck. I volunteered to go as a machine gunner paired with a machine gunner,” says “Doc”. – “They opened fire, and in a matter of seconds the drone went up sharply, and then plummeted down. “We landed!”

War in Ukraine: strikes by Iranian drones
On December 11, the representative of OC “South” Nataliya Gumenyuk linked the pause in the enemy’s use of Iranian drones to their vulnerability to low air temperatures.
According to Yuriy Ignat, a representative of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the low temperature causes icing of the entire fuselage of drones, but this is not a big problem – UAVs can be used both in summer and in winter.
From December 10 – after a three-week “pause” – Russia began striking Ukraine again with Iranian drones, in particular, using the coast of the Sea of Azov.
On December 14, the occupiers carried out their third large-scale attack with kamikaze drones. It is not known whether these were UAVs already from a new batch of Iran.
However, the day before, both British and American intelligence warned of increased military support for the Iranian invaders. Tehran may transfer its ballistic missiles to Moscow in the coming months.
