The commander of OC “South” Major General Andriy Kovalchuk said that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces in the Kherson direction was only 50-60% successful, as the Russian invaders managed to retreat and have already been transferred to other directions of the front. In an interview with Sky News, he also added that the occupiers could still launch artillery strikes on the right bank of the Dnieper.

The situation in the Kherson region
After the liberation of the right-bank part of the Kherson region from occupation, the Russian military continues to attack populated areas.
On the morning of Thursday, December 15, Russian invaders struck the center of Kherson. The projectile hit the place where the point of medical aid and delivery of humanitarian aid is located.
Deputy of the Kherson Regional Council Serhii Khlan reported that about 450 residents are being evacuated from the Kherson region every day. The number of people willing to leave has more than doubled recently.
