“The Armed Forces need long-range missiles (ATACMS), and of course aviation will really change the course and logic of this war. And I’m not that I hope, I’m 100% sure that this 100 million dollars allocated by the US Congress for the preparation of our pilots, will be implemented without fail. The only question is on which aircraft. I am a supporter of the F-16, F-15 and F-35,” he said, channel 24 reports.
Chernyk added that it is difficult to say when this will happen:
“Because the allies are looking at this war and, first of all, the Americans through their own prism. And we will not cancel it. But there is positive news that 44 billion dollars have been pledged to the US budget. Let me remind you that the lend-lease has been announced, is waiting for its time, it is a spare resource” .
American F-16 and F-15 fighters for the Armed Forces: what was previously reported
Earlier, military pilot-instructor Roman Svitan stated that the American F-15 and F-16 fighters could help the Armed Forces of Ukraine win the war started by Russia by the end of this year.
Military expert Vladyslav Seleznyov is sure that Ukrainian pilots are already involved in the program of piloting American fourth-generation F-16 fighters, and therefore the transfer of aircraft data to Ukraine is only a matter of time.
It was also reported that NATO is reviewing the idea of transferring fighter jets to Ukraine.
