Elon Musk, who after repeated unsuccessful updates on Twitter launched a poll about his dismissal from the post of CEO, can cancel its results.
Participation in a survey called “Should I resign as head of Twitter?” adopted by 17.5 million people. 57% voted “for” the dismissal, “Against” – 43%. Later, Musk mysteriously added “Fear your wishes” and no longer evaluated the results.
However, entrepreneur Kim Dotcom joked in the comments that “Musk’s survey was done to catch all the robots on the platform.”
“Interesting,” Musk commented, and seemed to think that this could be a reason to cancel the survey results, which were unlikely to suit him.
The @Unfiltered Boss account later wrote that they “wish only Twitter Blue subscribers could participate in the polls.”

“Good point. We will make changes,” Musk responded, and with the latest, rather strange changes on Twitter, it’s hard to tell if he’s joking or telling the truth.
Previously, Musk banned Twitter users from linking to their accounts and posts on third-party networks. Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, Truth Social, Tribel, Nostr and Post all faced bans, according to a post on the social network’s official page (which was quickly removed). Other platforms such as Telegram, TikTok, YouTube, Weibo and OnlyFans have been left out of Twitter. And the method used to select “banned sites” was not fully understood, so it’s no surprise that reports of the update sparked a flurry of criticism toward Twitter’s CEO.
Recently, Musk’s actions on Twitter have not brought the expected result for him (there are also failed launches of Twitter Blue, constant changes in its cost and colors of “ticks”, as well as the chaos caused by subscriptions in the social network and the outflow of advertisers). Musk launched a poll about his possible release, and while it seems he was hoping to get some support from fans, he ended up having to find ways to keep running his toy. Bots seem to be one of Elon’s favorite excuses to ditch something he doesn’t like on social media.
