In particular, concrete results for the strengthening of the Armed Forces of Ukraine should depend on these potential visits.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, outlined to the Ukrainian diplomats the prerequisites for the preparation and organization of the next foreign visits.
According to the correspondent, the head of state said this during a speech at the annual conference of ambassadors of Ukraine. He urged Ukrainian diplomats to consider his visit to the United States as a very important reference point and as a “set bar.”
“I don’t have the opportunity to make foreign visits. It’s just not there – the opportunity. And there’s no time. Because it was done before under different conditions,” Zelenskyy said.
At the same time, the head of state said that he has the opportunity to do it in other formats. However, the Ukrainian leader suggests new visits if an important condition is met.
“If any visit will potentially have the same significant, important and strategic content as my current visit to the United States, if our Armed Forces, all our Defense Forces will absolutely directly depend on the results of the visit, if one or another of our partners is ready to take the lead in implementation of the points of the Ukrainian peace formula, if there can be certain steps to speed up our victory, then as an exception to the general practice of wartime, my negotiations can take place and that’s how, on a personal level,” Zelensky emphasized.
The President said that Ukrainian diplomats should know what potential result for Ukraine will be obtained in the countries of their responsibility. He urged diplomats to fight for Ukraine and for strategic results for the state.
Zelensky’s visit to the USA
As reported, on December 21, Zelensky visited Washington, where he met with US President Joe Biden and spoke before both houses of Congress.
At the same time, Biden announced the allocation of $1.85 billion in new defense aid to Ukraine, which, in particular, will include Patriot complexes and shells for them.
