In his opinion, the Putin regime will not be able to withstand the liberation of Crimea.
Russian journalist and sociologist Ihor Yakovenko said that Russian President Vladimir Putin will not withdraw the occupying forces from Ukraine.
On the Espresso broadcast, he explained that he does not see such an opportunity yet. According to the expert, he was surprised that the Russian authorities did not react to the liberation of Kherson.
“I can confidently say that Putin will not issue an order to withdraw troops from the territory of Ukraine, at least I do not see such a possibility. There is quite unpleasant news for me: the Russian public space, Russian television, the Russian authorities practically did not react to the liberation of Kherson. “I I thought it would be quite a powerful blow. Russian TV and the Russian authorities withstood this blow quite easily,” Yakovenko noted.
In his opinion, the question now is how serious a blow the liberation of the occupied Crimea will be. The island is of great importance to Russia.
“I think that the Putin regime will still not be able to withstand this blow so easily, because Crimea is an absolutely iconic phenomenon and the regime will probably not be able to swallow the liberation of Crimea as easily as they swallowed the liberation of Kherson,” the sociologist concluded.
War in Ukraine: forecasts
The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, said that Putin does not plan to end the war against Ukraine, but he will lose.
The Wall Street Journal, citing its own sources in Russian intelligence, indicates that Putin is being misinformed about the real course of the war in Ukraine. In particular, he gets a distorted picture of the situation.
Russian political scientist Andriy Piontkovsky believes that the tribunal is waiting for Putin because the president of the Russian Federation has the courage to put a bullet in his temple.
