The Russians have changed their assault tactics near Bakhmut and are suffering heavy losses – the Armed Forces

Enemy forces lost 77 people killed and 125 wounded in the Bakhmut direction yesterday, Serhii Cherevy, a representative of the eastern group of troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said on the air of the informational telethon.

“Bakhmut remains the main direction of our enemy’s attack. He concentrated all his artillery fire, MLRS, and tanks there, trying to break through our defenses. And every day our servicemen, showing massive heroism, do not let him do it. The enemy suffers heavy losses. Only in this day . There were 175 shellings, more than 20 clashes in the Bakhmut direction. The enemy lost 77 people killed and 125 wounded,” he said.

According to him, the Russians have somewhat changed their tactics: they no longer operate as part of company or battalion tactical groups, but break into small groups of up to 20 people and walk scattered across the battlefield, trying to get closer to the forward positions of the Ukrainian troops in order to engage in close combat.

“They are also trying to be active in the Avdiyiv direction, continuing assault operations there. This is probably the next most active direction after Bakhmutsky. And from time to time they try to counterattack in the Luhansk direction. However, these attacks are also unsuccessful, they suffer losses and retreat,” – noted Cherevy.

The war in Ukraine – current data

The Russian army is concentrating its main efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Bakhmut and Avdiiv directions with the aim of entering the administrative border of the Donetsk region.

Earlier, the representative of the eastern group of troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhiy Cherevaty, stated that in the Bakhmut direction, the Russians are suffering heavy losses of people and equipment and have no tactical success.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukrainian fighters have destroyed more than 103,000 invaders, and yesterday about 620 invaders were eliminated.
