Explosions rang out in the Russian city of Engels near the strategic airfield of the Russian Federation.
The anti-aircraft system was activated on the territory of the district. This was announced by the governor of the Saratov region, Roman Busargin, writes “RBK”.
“An unknown object has been destroyed. Emergency services have been sent to the scene. There is no threat to the safety of residents,” he said.
Later, according to rosZMI, Busagin announced the damage to the UAV in the Engels area. As a result of falling debris, the fence of a private house, a car and a garage were damaged. In addition, a window on the balcony was broken in one of the houses.

Already on December 26, explosions rang out again at the airfield in Engels. The Ministry of Defense of Russia then declared that the explosion occurred “due to the fall of fragments of a downed Ukrainian drone.” Several people died as a result of the incident.
