Russian troops strengthened the administrative and police regime in the occupied territory.
The Russian invaders blocked Genichesk and neighboring villages for citizens to leave.
As reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in operational information regarding the Russian invasion as of 6:00 p.m., the occupiers have established strict rules.
“The Russian occupying forces strengthened the administrative and police regime for the period of the New Year’s holidays in certain settlements of the temporarily occupied territory,” the summary states.
In particular, from December 31, 2022 to January 6, 2023, the city of Henichesk in the Kherson region was closed to the public, and the residents of the surrounding villages were also prohibited from leaving.
As reported, in the temporarily occupied Genichesk, the occupiers are conducting a covert mobilization under the guise of recruiting for the “police”.
Earlier, Genichesk was declared by the Rashists as the new capital of the Kherson Region after the ZSU liberated the regional center, the city of Kherson.
The situation at the front: the main details
The General Staff reported that on December 31, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 105,960 occupiers.
Every day, the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces repulse the assaults of the occupiers in the areas of several settlements. The fiercest battles are taking place around Maryinka, Avdiivka, and Bakhmut, a fortress city that could not be captured by the Rashists for many months thanks to the heroism of the defenders of Ukraine.
