The electric train can accommodate almost a thousand passengers and is capable of developing a speed of up to 120 km/h.
“Ukrzaliznytsia” presented the first Ukrainian electric train EPL9T, modernized on its own capacities.
As the press service of “Ukrzaliznytsia” reports, this electric train can accommodate 964 passengers and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 120 km/h.
“After major repairs, this electric train, manufactured at the Ukrainian plant Luhanskteplovoz, added to the list of restored suburban trains of Ukrzaliznytsia. We made this train as comfortable as possible for passengers,” the message reads.
The electric train is equipped with ramps in each main car of the train, inclusive toilets (with changing tables), places for transporting bicycles (24 places in the entire train), and seats for passengers with disabilities.
The train is also equipped with USB/Type-C ports for charging gadgets, external and internal video surveillance systems, lighting of passenger boarding and disembarking areas.
New Ukrzaliznytsia flights: details
“Ukrzaliznytsia” is preparing for the peak period of transportation for the New Year holidays and has appointed an additional high-speed train “Intercity” Kyiv – Ternopil from December 29 to January 7.
On December 27, it also became known that “Ukrzaliznytsia” is resuming the operation of the “Bukovelskyi Express” on the Lviv – Yasinya route.
In addition, “Ukrzaliznytsia” scheduled additional trains to Lviv, Uzhgorod, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi and Kryvyi Rih for the period of the New Year holidays. And from December 30, a “ski express” will run from Kyiv to Slavskyi.
