From the first day of the full-scale invasion, Asan Isenajiev saved the lives of soldiers and civilians.
Among those who returned from Russian captivity on December 31 is a representative of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people, paramedic from “Azovstal” Asan Isenajiev. Tamila Tasheva, the permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in Crimea, announced this on her Facebook page.
“A brave Ukrainian soldier, representative of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people, paramedic from “Azovstal” Asan Isenajiev returned home from enemy captivity! From the first day of the full-scale invasion, he saved the lives of our citizens – military and civilians,” she wrote.
A new big exchange on the eve of 2023
On December 31, another significant exchange of prisoners took place.
140 Ukrainians returned from Russian captivity, including two soldiers of the Armed Forces, 15 soldiers of the Teroborony Forces, 22 soldiers of the National Guard, 11 soldiers of the Navy and 10 soldiers of the DPSU. Among them are 132 men and 8 women, 22 officers and 118 sergeants and soldiers.
Among those released today, in particular, there are 44 defenders of Mariupol, 48 prisoners from the Donetsk direction. There are those released, captured in the Luhansk, Kharkiv directions, as well as in the Kyiv region. Also, two defenders of Zmiiny Island and one captive from the Zaporizhzhya NPP were exchanged and released.
In September, Ukraine freed the commanders of Azov.
On December 14, another exchange of prisoners took place. 64 soldiers of the armed forces returned to Ukraine.
In October, Ukraine freed 108 women from Russian captivity.
