Warm weather and a decrease in consumption by industry made it possible to minimally limit electricity for Kyiv residents during the holidays.
Today, from 14:00, Kyiv returns to the stabilization schedules of power outages.
As reported by DTEK, warm weather and a decrease in industrial consumption made it possible to minimally limit electricity for Kyiv residents during the holidays, but the economy must work and industrial consumption is growing.
“Accordingly, the load on the power system is increasing. Therefore, from 2:00 p.m. today in Kyiv, the stabilization schedules of outages are starting to operate again in order to avoid accidents in the power system,” the message says.
Electricity supply in Ukraine: what is the situation
Earlier, NEC “Ukrenergo” reported that due to the decrease in the level of consumption, electricity supply in Ukraine will not be limited until 2:00 p.m.
The Kyiv region is now fully supplied with electricity. On January 2, emergency and scheduled blackouts were not introduced.
The Ministry of Energy announced that the blackout in Ukraine will last until the end of the heating season. On December 31, 2022, emergency blackouts were canceled in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
