Cristiano Ronaldo was introduced as a football player of “Al-Nasra”.
The famous striker of the Portuguese team, Cristiano Ronaldo, has finally completed his transfer to Al-Nasr.
On Tuesday, January 3, in Riyadh, the 37-year-old football player gave his first press conference as a player of the Saudi club.
During the press conference, the star forward was embarrassed to say that he will play in the Republic of South Africa. In fact, “Al-Nasr” is a Saudi Arabian club.
“For me, there is nothing wrong with the fact that my career will continue in South Africa. I am not interested in people’s opinion on this topic,” the athlete said at the press conference.
In addition, Cristiano Ronaldo made several other harsh statements. In particular, the Portuguese said that his history in Europe is over.
“In European football, my work is done. I won everything I could. This is a new test. I had offers from Brazil, Australia, USA, Portugal, but I promised Al-Nasr that I would go to them.
This is not the end for me. The Saudi Arabian Championship is very difficult. I know people don’t know about it. I’m here to change the mentality and the way people look at football in Saudi Arabia,” Ronaldo said.
Cristiano also called himself a unique football player.
“I’m a unique player. I’ve broken all the records in Europe and I’ll do it here. Because I’m a unique player. It’s the norm for me. I have a unique contract because I’m a unique player,” the Portuguese summed up.
Let’s add that after the press conference, an official presentation of Cristiano Ronaldo took place.
The Portuguese star appeared in front of the fans in Al-Nasra jersey with the number “7”.
According to the media, Ronaldo’s presentation at the “Mrsul Park” stadium was attended by about 30,000 people. Entrance to the arena cost three pounds, and all proceeds will go to charity.
We will remind you that Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nasr runs until 2025. The Portuguese will earn up to 200 million dollars a year in the new club.
There was also information that the Portuguese’s contract with the Arabs has a clause according to which Ronaldo can move to the English “Newcastle” if Eddie Howe’s team qualifies for the Champions League.
Before moving to Al-Nasr, Ronaldo played for Manchester United, which he left in November 2022.
