Russian occupiers use “daggers” for demonstration and intimidation.
No one knows exactly how many Kinzhal missiles are left in Russia. But it is noticeable that they are not used in the war against Ukraine, despite the fact that Ukrainian air defense would hardly have shot them down.
As Vadym Skybitskyi, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, told in an interview with “RBK-Ukraine”, this is a new type of weapon. And the Russians have a problem with carrier aircraft – the MiG-31.
“We saw the incident that happened in Belarus – the engine of one of them caught fire. Besides, they don’t have so many Daggers. If they are shot too, then there will simply be nothing to scare the world,” says the representative of the Ukrainian intelligence
According to him, the Russian occupiers use “Daggers” to demonstrate and intimidate that they have such weapons that no one can shoot down.
Missile “Dagger” – what is known about it
Kh-47M “Dagger” is a hypersonic aircraft missile capable of hitting stationary objects and surface ships. It is claimed that after launch, the Dagger missile flies at hypersonic speeds, exceeding the speed of sound by 10 times.
According to a Reuters source in the Pentagon, Russia is unlikely to have used the Dagger. Meanwhile, the mass media wrote about its use in Ukraine in March 2022.
Earlier, military expert Oleksandr Kovalenko expressed doubt that Russia has in stock Kh-47M2 “Kynzhal” hypersonic missiles, even in the amount of 30 to 40 pieces.
