Today, January 3, SpaceX launched the first Falcon 9 rocket in 2023. The Transporter-6 mission is worth putting 114 satellites into low Earth orbit at once. One of them is the Ukrainian nanosatellite PolyITAN-HP-30, created for the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence.
The launch of the rocket from the Space Launch Complex-40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral was successful. The first stage of the rocket used for the Transporter-6 mission has previously been used in several other missions: GPS III-3, Turksat 5A, Transporter-2, Intelsat G-33/G-34 and 10 Starlink. After separation, the Falcon 9 stage successfully landed at Landing Zone 1 (LZ-1) of the Space Force Station at Cape Canaveral.

PolyITAN-HP-30 satellite was created by scientists of KPI named after Ihor Sikorsky for budget funds provided by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. It is assumed that after entering the planned orbit, the nanosatellite will ensure the implementation of a scientific experiment investigating the effectiveness of the functioning of heat pipes of various designs as the main element of the thermal stabilization systems of space vehicles.
