Acer showed a rather original device at the CES 2023 exhibition – a hybrid of a computer desk, an exercise bike and a generator. The eKinekt BD 3 cycling desk is designed to allow the user to work, exercise and generate clean electricity at the same time. Pedaling generates energy that can be used to charge devices on the table. Such a table will be useful in the current Ukrainian conditions.
According to Acer, pedaling at a leisurely pace of 60 rpm can generate up to 75 watts of power. The table has two USB Type-A connectors and one USB Type-C connector, which allows you to charge the batteries of several devices at the same time. The table supports Working and Sports modes. In the first case, the user can sit at the table, leisurely pedal and work on the laptop. In Sports mode, the desktop moves back a bit to make room and be able to lean forward to increase the load. The eKinekt BD 3 comes with a mobile app that collects usage statistics, including workout duration, calories burned, watts of power generated.
