The enemy is intensifying administrative pressure on the civilian population in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Russian troops are shelling houses near the front line to force local residents into a so-called “voluntary evacuation” to Russia.
As Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Malyar reported in the Telegram channel, the enemy is intensifying administrative pressure on the civilian population of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Malyar noted that in order to destabilize the humanitarian situation and force local residents to the so-called “voluntary evacuation” to Russia, the occupying forces are shelling private houses and country villages on the outskirts of cities near the front line.
“Representatives of the Russian occupation administrations also conducted a census of the local population to identify the presence of relatives on the territory of the Russian Federation and draw up plans for forced evacuation. At the same time, residents who do not have relatives will go to the so-called “refugee centers,” she wrote.
In addition, in order to create a positive propaganda “picture” of the alleged rapid integration of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine into Russia, the occupiers report on the active acquisition of citizenship by local residents of the aggressor country.
“In order to speed up the process of forced passporting, the enemy informs that from the beginning of 2023, receiving services or carrying out any operations in so-called “state institutions” will be possible only in the presence of a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation,” said Malyar.
Deportation of Ukrainians to the Russian Federation
At the beginning of autumn last year, the deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy, Pavlo Sushko, said that at least 557,000 children had been deported from the territory of Ukraine. According to the American Institute for the Study of War, Ukrainian children are given up for adoption by Russian families, which is illegal.
In November, the human rights organization Amnesty International exposed the Russian Federation for the forcible transfer, deportation and filtering of people.
In total, more than 1,600,000 Ukrainian citizens were deported to the Russian Federation from the occupied Ukrainian territories. Before deporting peaceful Ukrainians, the occupiers force them to pass through so-called filtration camps. There they are interrogated, forced to undress to check their tattoos, often use force. Some of these camps are non-returnable.
