The President emphasized that the world will know in all details how and when the aggressor is preparing a new escalation in this war.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that Russia will not be able to hide in silence its preparations for a new wave of aggression against Ukraine and all of Europe.
“Today was another active diplomatic day – four more leaders of the partner states were fully informed about Ukrainian defense needs and the nearest plans of the terrorist state. Russia will not be able to hide in silence its preparations for a new wave of aggression against Ukraine and the whole of Europe. The world will know from everyone in detail – how and when the aggressor is preparing a new escalation in this war,” the president said during the evening video address.
Zelensky emphasized that every new mobilization step of Russia will be known to the world even before Russia implements it.
“We will ensure it,” the Head of State said.
Russia’s statements about the “ceasefire”: details
On January 5, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin and called on him to unilaterally cease fire in the war against Ukraine.
Subsequently, Putin instructed Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu to introduce a “ceasefire regime along the entire line of combat contact” from 12:00 on January 6 to 00:00 on January 7. The Kremlin also urged Ukraine to do the same.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksiy Danilov, responded harshly to the Kremlin’s calls to impose a so-called “ceasefire regime” on Christmas, as Russia allegedly did.
