Delivery of Leopard tanks to Ukraine – what is known
In June of last year, Spanish media reported that the country’s authorities are ready to hand over Leopard A4 tanks to Ukraine. At the same time, the head of the British Foreign Ministry, James Cleverley, said that the transfer of tanks to Ukraine could be part of the “next stage” of the supply of weapons to the Armed Forces.
In addition, the head of the defense committee of the Bundestag called for the Leopard to be handed over to Ukraine. It is noted that the USA and Germany have reached an agreement on this issue. The Bundestag is also putting pressure on Olaf Scholz, who is hesitant about the transfer of tanks to Ukraine.
