Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and Vice President of the European Parliament, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Policy and Security Josep Borrell talked about preparations for the Ukraine-EU summit, which will take place on February 3.
Kuleba noted that preparations for the upcoming Ukraine-EU summit on February 3 were discussed in detail.
“We outlined our expectations and settled on a format that would ensure its success. We also discussed military aid, sanctions and Iranian-Russian cooperation,” Kuleba said on Twitter.
Participation in EU meetings: details
On January 4, Dmytro Kuleba announced that Josep Borrell invited the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to participate in the meeting of the EU Council at the level of foreign ministers, which will take place on January 23 in Brussels.
Kuleba noted that 2023 and, in particular, the winter months will be very important on the way to Ukraine’s EU membership.
The Foreign Minister noted that his participation in almost every meeting of the Council of the EU has already become a regular tradition.
According to him, this shows that today Ukraine is an equal participant in European politics, as the EU and Ukraine together solve key issues, shape the European agenda on how to protect Europe.
