The mayor called on residents to leave the temporarily occupied territory.
The Russian invaders in the temporarily occupied Melitopol have started another round of repressions and a new wave of deportation of people on charges of anti-Russian activities.
This was announced by Mayor Ivan Fedorov on the air of an information telethon. “What is deportation? This person is taken without belongings to the last checkpoint in Vasylivka, they present him with claims for allegedly conducting anti-Russian activities and force him to walk to Zaporizhzhia. This is how the head of Mykhailivskyi PTU was deported yesterday,” Fedorov said.
According to him, the next round of repressions began at the end of December – at first, the Rashists created a Telegram channel in which they covered all residents of Melitopol who continue to take a pro-Ukrainian position.
“They search for them in closed pro-Ukrainian chats and publish this information, thus making them a live target. At the beginning of January, they went further and created a chatbot in Telegram, in which simply a neighbor can write to a neighbor that he has a pro-Ukrainian position, and this a person is immediately taken to the commandant’s office, immediately interrogated and, in the best case, simply conducted a preventive conversation,” the mayor said.
Fedorov called on residents to leave the temporarily occupied territory due to new repressions.
“It is impossible to leave through Vasylivka, four people have left in the last three weeks. Basically, our residents choose the route through the temporarily occupied Crimea and then either to the border with Georgia or to the border with the EU, but there everything depends on the will of the border guards of the Russian Federation. Also, the route, which our people choose is to fly to Moldova or Turkey from the nearest airport on the territory of Russia… There is also a route through Berdyansk, Mariupol, Novoazovsk, but it is extremely dangerous, because filtering is carried out on the territory of the DPR,” Fedorov added. .
