Western countries are slowly “suffocating” the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.

Russian sociologist and blogger Igor Eidman expressed this opinion in an interview with . He called the gradual increase in military aid from the allies a general strategy of the countries.

“They don’t want to make sudden movements. I have already given this metaphor: when you enter a room and there is a cobra, you must not make sudden movements, because it can pounce and bite, bite with a nuclear weapon. You need to carefully, imperceptibly crush it and suppress it so that she doesn’t even have time to snap, as your boot is already on her throat. Western countries are strangling Putin slowly. They are not making sudden moves, as we all hoped at first, they are doing it slowly, but systematically, without backing down,” said Eidman.

He emphasized that the pressure on Russia and aid to Ukraine is increasing. “The idea is for Putin to hope for something until the last moment. And then, when he realizes that his party has lost, he will no longer have the resources for some extreme actions like starting a nuclear war. That is, to bring him to such in a situation when he reaches for the button, if he reaches, it will turn out that the button is no longer there, and he is no longer sitting in the Kremlin ward, but some people have tied him up and are taking him to a psychiatric hospital,” explained the sociologist.

Eidman is convinced that Putin is an inadequate person who still hopes for his victory.

“That they will strain a little more, and Ukraine will capitulate. This is a complete delusion and it will never happen, but she is counting on it, and so is the crazy Medvedev,” he added.

Aid to Ukraine

We will remind that earlier the President’s Office announced the supply of tanks to Ukraine, and later – long-range missiles from Western partners.

On January 6, Joe Biden’s administration announced a new $3 billion military aid package for Ukraine.

According to Politico, the United States is considering sending Stryker armored fighting vehicles to Ukraine.

It is known that Germany wants to transfer Marder infantry fighting vehicles and Patriot anti-aircraft batteries to Ukraine.

The British mass media write that Great Britain is considering the possibility of supplying Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine.
