Ukrainians celebrate an unusual national holiday on January 10 called the Christmas Carnivore. On this date, it is customary for the whole family to gather together for dinner and eat meat dishes. will offer three delicious and hearty recipes that can be prepared for this holiday.

Meat roll made of minced meat with crushed cheese

Ingredients:

  • minced meat – 800 g;
  • processed cottage cheese – 3 pcs.;
  • onion – 2 pcs.;
  • butter – 2 tablespoons;
  • eggs – 2 pcs.;
  • semolina or breadcrumbs – 2 tablespoons;
  • sunflower oil – 1 tablespoon;
  • salt, pepper, spices to taste.

Leave the curds in the freezer for 20 minutes, then grate them on a large grater. Finely chop the onion. Heat butter in a frying pan and fry the onion for 5 minutes. Cool the fried onion and mix with cottage cheese and one egg.

Mix the second egg, salt, spices, and semolina into the minced meat. Grease foil or parchment with oil and spread the minced meat in a thin layer. Put the cheese filling on the minced meat onions and carefully wrap the roll. Bake the roll for 40 minutes at 180°.

Chicken sausages in bacon

Ingredients:

  • chicken fillet – 1200 g;
  • onion – 1 pc.;
  • sour cream 30% – 2 tablespoons;
  • dry milk or grated cheese – 2 tablespoons;
  • breadcrumbs – 200 g;
  • ground paprika, ground black pepper, marjoram to taste;
  • bacon for wrapping.

Pass the chicken twice through a meat grinder together with the onion. Add sour cream, dry milk or grated cheese, spices, and half of the crackers. Mix thoroughly until smooth and put the minced meat in the refrigerator for several hours.

Roll the minced meat into sausages and spread on the second half of the crackers. Wrap the sausages in bacon or any smoked meat, and put them on a sheet or in a baking dish. Bake sausages in the oven for 25-30 minutes at 180 °, periodically turning them over.

Chicken thighs in honey sauce

Instead of thighs, you can take breasts or wings.

Ingredients:

  • thighs – 1.5 kg;
  • sunflower oil – 3 tablespoons;
  • garlic – 4 cloves;
  • honey – 5 tablespoons;
  • soy sauce – 3 tablespoons;
  • ground ginger – 0.5 tbsp.
  • salt|salt|, ground pepper to taste.

For the marinade, mix oil, soy sauce, honey, chopped garlic and ground ginger. Pour the marinade over the thighs, move and put in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. Heat the oven to 220 °. Place the thighs in a baking dish and bake for 1 hour. Turn the thigh several times during baking.
