Jason Xie, Intel’s lead technical marketing specialist in the gaming industry, gave a live demonstration of an unnamed desktop processor from the Raptor Lake family. Although it was not directly mentioned, it is quite obvious that it is a Core i9-13900KS processor.
The video shows the processor in action on the reference Intel motherboard and on the ASUS Z790 board, which has already gone on sale. The processor is cooled by the Corsair AIO liquid cooling system.
Intel XTU (Extreme Tuning Utility) and HWiNFO windows are shown on the screen, proving that no “tricks” were used to demonstrate the 7zip test running in the background.

The processor reaches 5.985 GHz with two active cores, but the frequency is not always at this level. “The frequency will depend on many factors such as power limitations, temperature and the software being used,” explains Jason.
According to the VideoCardz site, the Core i9-13900KS processor is equipped with 8 productive and 16 energy-efficient cores that support the processing of up to 32 parallel data streams. The clock frequency varies from 3.2 to 6 GHz depending on the load, the nominal TDP is 150 W, the peak is 253 W.
Previous leaks say that the official launch of the i9-13900KS could be as early as January 12. This was pointed out by insiders and some retailers who prematurely published product lists. The date has not been officially confirmed, and the price of the processor is also unknown.
