The exchange was scheduled for January 14, 2023.
The Coordinating Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War announced that on Saturday, January 14, 2023, Russia canceled another exchange of prisoners scheduled for that day.
“Today (January 14 – ed.) another exchange of prisoners with the Russian side was planned. However, it was canceled at the last moment on the initiative of the Russians. It is not difficult to guess the reasons for such a decision,” the message says.
It is noted that the enemy continues to make efforts to shake Ukrainian society from within. For this, the occupiers use the grief of families, which they themselves caused.
“The cruel and bloody war started by Putin’s Russia continues. No matter how much the enemy shows that he does not mind the losses, they are extremely painful for him. The Russians agree to exchange our military only for their own commanders and soldiers who have been captured,” – added in Coordination headquarters.
