Belarus is not creating a strike group of troops, the Ministry of Defense claims.

In order to carry out a minimally successful new offensive of the Russian Federation from Belarus to Kyiv, at least 150 thousand people are needed.

There is no military strike group in Belarus, and there are no signs of its creation, Oleksiy Arestovych, adviser to the President’s Office of Volodymyr Zelenskyi, said in an interview with the editor-in-chief of the “Gordon” publication Olesya Batsman. In his opinion, the Belarusian army will not fight against Ukrainians.

“And if they start to create it right now (a strike group of troops – Ed.) – well, by the end of April somewhere they will create a strike group, no less. This is a very difficult, slow thing. And where to get them? And what kind of success “To attack Kyiv? Minimal success in Kyiv is ensured by a group of at least 150,000 people. Less will not pass…”, the interlocutor claims.

Later, Russian conscripts were brought to Belarus, the country constantly undergoes military exercises. In addition, Belarusian conscripts were called to military commissars.

At the end of December, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine said that more than 10,000 Russian soldiers had been brought to Belarus. Russia is actively importing both manpower and military equipment to Belarus. At the beginning of January, it became known that trucks with “Z” symbols were brought to Belarus from Russia.

According to the Belarusian opposition journalist Nataliya Radina, information is coming from the military of Belarus that there will be an attack on Ukraine. She added that it is not known whether the new attack on Ukraine will be carried out from Belarusian territory.
