Ivan Redkach’s fight against the famous Adrien Broner will not take place.
36-year-old Ukrainian boxer Ivan Redkach, who competes in the welterweight division, announced the end of his professional career.
The sensational athlete also announced the cancellation of his fight with the ex-champion of the world in four divisions, Adrien Broner.
“This fight with Adrien Broner has to happen, no matter what, we both want it. There are people who don’t want it. I respect Broner and BLK for all he is worth.
Thanks to BLK for the opportunity. It hurts me, because they stole the fight of my dreams, the fight of my whole life. Boxing is my life. I came to the boxing gym when I was 6 years old thanks to my fans. We were all waiting for this fight. And it’s not my fault what happened. Excuse me.
There are many mean people in boxing who ruin boxers’ lives and break their dreams. It hurts. I’m done with boxing.
I was loyal to boxing, but when a boxer’s hands are tied, he cannot fight,” Redkach wrote on his Twitter.
We will remind, the fight between Redkach and Broner was supposed to take place on February 25. At the same time, the organizers of the match – BLK Prime, have not yet provided any official information about the cancellation of the match.
During his career, Ivan Redkach had a total of 31 fights. The Ukrainian has 23 victories (18 by knockout). Ivan lost six fights. One match with his participation ended in a draw, another was recognized as not taking place.
