The expert suggests that Iran, among other things, wants to receive some nuclear technologies from Russia.
The Iranian authorities are in no hurry to hand over ballistic missiles to Russia, which the aggressor country uses in the war against Ukraine. Military and political expert Yuriy Fedorov believes that this is primarily due to pressure from the West.
“Yes, indeed, both the US and, as I understand it, Saudi Arabia, I think there have been some steps taken in Israel to prevent such a transfer of ballistic missiles. But it can really increase the combat potential of Russia, designed to destroy residential quarters, infrastructure in Ukraine. So, strong pressure is being exerted on Iran, this is the first,” he said on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.
According to Fedorov, this could be another explanation – bidding from the Russian Federation. Perhaps Iran wants to get some nuclear technology from Russia as a result of this exchange.
“Iranians in general are extremely pragmatic people, and they are not going to sacrifice their interests at all, and their interests are connected not only with Russia, but also with a number of other regions, other countries. And this deters. In addition, truly modern aircraft Tehran needs very much, but even more needs missile technology and production, primarily rocket engines. Second, it needs nuclear technology, there are a number of problems that the Iranians cannot solve, related to the creation of not only weapons-grade fissionable materials, it is one problem. And another spectrum of problems consists in creating the very design of a nuclear explosive device, where precise mechanics play a big role, and a whole series of purely scientific and engineering solutions that are still incomprehensible to the Iranians. I think that the bargaining goes on this issue.” , – noted the expert.
Cooperation between Iran and Russia
Iran supplies Russia with kamikaze drones, which the aggressor country uses to attack Ukraine. In addition, the countries agreed on the production of drones on the territory of the Russian Federation.
US Under Secretary of State Wendy Sherman and Under Secretary of Defense for Political Affairs Colin Kahl said Russia continues to ask Iran and North Korea for help with missiles and drones.
It is noted that Iran, which handed over to the Russian Federation a large batch of kamikaze drones, which were used for terror against the Ukrainian population, is waiting for the supply of Russian fighters.
