At first glance, an ordinary smartphone. However, it can be unfolded, and then the screen can be moved further, getting a 10.1-inch tablet alternative.
The Chinese brand Tecno presented its vision of a smart smartphone in the form of the Phantom Vision V conceptual model. According to the company’s plan, such a device is designed to reveal the possibilities of visual perception in mobile devices in a new way.
Unlike the already released models with flexible screens, the Tecno smartphone is able not only to fold, but also to expand into a 10.1-inch tablet alternative, GSMArena reports.
The display of the device, as the brand assures, consists of 11 layers, which provides “extreme flexibility and durability”. The body of the smartphone is made of “aerospace-grade” titanium, making it very strong and light, and inside there is a reliable opening mechanism.
When such a device will appear on sale (and if it will appear at all), Tecno does not say yet. The method of stretching the display presented in the video has already been implemented in conceptual products of other brands. However, no one has yet ventured into serial production.
Tecno is a new player in the budget smartphone market
As already wrote, earlier Tecno expanded its range of budget smartphones with the “people’s favorite” Spark 8C.
At a price of 120 dollars (~4,400 UAH), it boasts a 5,000 mAh battery, an “overclocked” 6.6-inch IPS panel and an NFC module, which is rarely found in budget devices.
And recently, the company released its new smartphone with an original back panel pattern. It entered the Pova line and received an AMOLED screen for the first time in the series.
